With 3 gents wristwatches dating from the 1940s; all of which needed repairs and servicing, and searching endlessly for someone willing to take on the task I finally found Alan.
He is wonderfully courteous and his communication is excellent. Any queries I had were swiftly answered either by phone or by email and the work done on my watches was outstanding.  I'd not hesitate to recommend Alan to anyone that needed a 'proper' watch repair.

Three old mechanical pocket-watches of enormous sentimental value fully serviced and returned to me in exceptionally good condition. The watches, I estimate, range in age from 1920-1938. To the delight of my dad (82), Alan also carried out an 'overnight' repair to a quartz wrist-watch which Dad frequently uses - and limited the cost only to that of returning by 'guaranteed next day delivery', repair gratis, in view of his appreciation of our custom.

In addition to the actual work, I was given a detailed explanation of what could & could not be done, and an absolutely accurate estimate of the cost. The joy of having these precious time-pieces in working order - albeit as advised by Alan at The Watch Repair Workshop, not as accurate as modern quartz watches - the joy....well....it's just overwhelming. And small adjustments to a minute or two gained/lost, a pleasure....almost like 'going back in time'. Doing what my grandad & great grandfather did! 'Trips back into my family history' The service included regular updates on progress and very prompt replies to inquiries by both e-mail and text.
My watches were returned by 'Guaranteed Next Day Delivery' & perfectly packed. For me, Alan, at The Watch Repair Workshop was a 'discovery in a million'. An exceptionally good all-round service, and above all straightforward and honest advice at all times. Dealing with The Watch Repair Workshop is a real pleasure. David, Aberdare, Wales.

Dear Alan,

Many thanks for the repairs to Glenda’s watch. Thank God we found you! We have chucked money at the problem for the last six years. Having seen the photographs you sent (again thank you) I can see why we have had problems. We will use you from now on!

I served my time in a place called Ulverston back in 1958. I worked in the trade for a further 10 years before going to university and qualifying to teach. I am now retired. It was frustrating to have a problem watch in the family and not being able to do anything about it. I guess a lot of these online ‘watchmakers’ don’t strip the movements down like we used to and you obviously do. Again, many thanks.

Alan we are delighted with the superb job you have done on my wife's grandfather's watch. It is like new again.
Thanks again.

Hi Alan, Just to let you know that my Omega Watch arrived this morning and I am delighted with what you have done.  It is on my right wrist ticking away.  Thanks once again, PH

Good morning Alan,  I think that must be about the quickest response I've ever had to an enquiry , ever , and I would be happy for you to go ahead with the work.....I'm very pleased with the way the watch is looking, and in fact it looks even better than I thought it would. A cheque will be posted off to you today. Many thanks, A. Brown
